Responsibilities

• Greet customers and determine their needs/wants to recommend merchandise.
• Advise customers on the utilization and care of merchandise as needed.
• Answer customer questions or concerns promptly and in a friendly manner.
• Stock and recover merchandise to maintain store appearance.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
• Operate pallet jacks and forklifts as needed.
• Ensure proper signage is in place throughout the assigned department.
• Use computers to check prices and inventories.
• Assist with inventory preparation and create special orders as needed.
• Maintain safety awareness of potential hazards in the store.
• Handle customer complaints and concerns professionally and promptly.
• Bring in carts from outside and perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age and possess an up-to-date Firearm Owners Identification (FOID) card.
• Knowledge of hunting and fishing is preferred.
• Understanding of federal, state, and local regulations regarding the sale of firearms is essential.
• Friendly and outgoing personality is required.
• Strong work ethic and interpersonal skills are necessary.
• Basic computer skills are required.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule is essential.
• Effective communication skills with customers, both in-person and over the phone.
• Ability to multi-task and maintain composure under stress.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Demonstrated initiative and effective problem-solving skills.
