About the position

The Sales Associate - Optical position at America's Best involves selling, fitting, and dispensing eyewear to customers while providing exceptional customer service. The role is integral to meeting sales objectives and fostering a professional environment that aligns with National Vision's mission and values. Associates will assist customers with eyewear selection, maintain patient records, and ensure the cleanliness and organization of the store.

Responsibilities

• Sell, fit, and dispense eyewear to customers.
• Meet National Vision's sales and company objectives.
• Adhere to National Vision's Code of Conduct.
• Foster an inclusive and respectful environment for associates and customers.
• Assist with dispensing eyeglasses and contact lenses as permitted by state law.
• Perform insertion and removal training of contact lenses to customers as permitted by state law.
• Educate clients on proper eyeglass and contact lens care.
• Maintain accurate and organized patient records.
• Notify customers when orders are ready or of any delays.
• Assist customers with picking out eyewear and recommend appropriate products.
• Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls according to National Vision protocol.
• Maintain cleanliness of all equipment, workstations, and the overall facility.
• Ensure inventory control and loss prevention procedures are followed.
• Maintain visual merchandising according to Brand and Company Standards.

Requirements

• 1+ years related experience or training in retail/customer service preferred.
• Strong selling skills aimed at meeting store and self-sales targets.
• Ability to give instruction in a clear and concise manner to customers.
• Ability to interact with all levels of employees in a courteous, professional manner at all times.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
