About The Position

The Sales Associate/Cashier - Seasonal Lawn & Garden is responsible for assisting customers in our seasonal greenhouses. The primary function of this role is to provide excellent customer service, which may include greeting customers, cashier responsibilities, answering product-related questions, watering and care of live goods, and general housekeeping. This is a seasonal position, typically running from early spring through mid-June, with continued employment opportunities dependent on hour availability and store needs.

Requirements

• Excellent customer service skills required.
• Frequent lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Long periods of standing.
• Frequent bending and twisting.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in seasonal greenhouses.
• Greet customers in the store/greenhouse.
• Perform cashier responsibilities.
• Answer product-related questions.
• Water and care for live goods.
• Perform general housekeeping.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.
• Price merchandise and make price changes.
• Stock and face merchandise on shelves.
• Assist in receiving freight and organize incoming products.
• Assist in cycle counts.
• Answer incoming telephone calls and handle appropriately.
• Handle customer transactions utilizing KCX cash register system.
• Responsible for accurate cash handling.
• Responsible for handling customer returns.
