About The Position

Simplehuman is seeking a highly energetic, assertive, and personable Sales Account Manager to join their Sales team. This role will own a portfolio of key retail accounts across mass, premium, and specialty retail, serving as the primary face of the brand with important retail partners. The ideal candidate thrives on building relationships, earning trust, and communicating with conviction to drive sales. This is a fully on-site position based in the Torrance, CA office.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of account management or sales experience, preferably in retail or consumer goods
  • Proven track record of building and sustaining long-term client relationships
  • Experience managing or supporting national retail accounts a strong plus
  • Skilled negotiator comfortable advocating for your accounts while protecting company interests
  • A confident communicator who can speak to buyers, executives, and store-level teams with equal ease
  • High emotional intelligence; personable, adaptable, and genuinely curious about people
  • Proactive problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Able to speak fluently about brand positioning, category trends, and retail dynamics
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities simultaneously

Responsibilities

  • Drive sales, volume, and profitability across your key retail account portfolio
  • Serve as the primary relationship owner, from buyer to category manager to store-level contacts
  • Lead account reviews, line presentations, and sell-in meetings with confidence and clarity
  • Negotiate terms, pricing, and promotional programs that work for both sides
  • Communicate our brand story compellingly and consistently across every touchpoint
  • Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, ops, product) to deliver on account commitments
  • Track account performance and proactively identify growth opportunities
  • Represent the company at trade shows, market events, and retailer meetings
