About the position

Lamar Advertising Company is seeking a new Account Executive for our Albuquerque, New Mexico office. This role is essential for promoting and selling outdoor advertising to qualified advertisers in the assigned territory. The Account Executive will be responsible for meeting and exceeding sales objectives by developing long-term advertising relationships and utilizing professional sales techniques. The position offers a combination of in-office work and field sales, with a focus on innovative outdoor advertising campaigns.

Responsibilities

  • Meet and exceed sales targets and monitor personal sales data and reports
  • Target businesses in the assigned area and visit established Lamar clients as well as competitor's clients
  • Exhibit working knowledge of local and national competition
  • Cluster accounts to work them efficiently
  • Identify potential growth areas and open new accounts
  • Use Lamar computer tools to locate prospects & follow up on leads, prepare proposals, written presentations, and research
  • Develop presentation skills and present to clients regularly
  • Participate in sales meetings, regional meetings, seminars, and trade shows
  • Perform administrative duties, such as maintaining sales plans and following up on client production orders

Requirements

  • Comfort making cold calls over the phone and in person
  • Ability to make oral presentations and clearly articulate policies and procedures

  • Current and Valid Driver's License required

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • CRM experience preferred
