About The Position

The Safety Specialist will monitor and handle all roadside inspection reports, citations received from active drivers, and Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs) entered from drivers on Samsara. This role will also work with asset management on cab card transfers between entities, counsel drivers, and inspect equipment during pre-trip walk arounds. The Safety Specialist will collaborate with the Director of Safety on all DataQ submissions and run reports on Rair for all inspection/CSA related items. This position involves auditing Hours of Service violations, monitoring DVIRs, and running reports to identify drivers at higher risk for scrutiny during safety audits.

Requirements

High School Diploma/GED
Microsoft Office 365 knowledge including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Must work well in a team atmosphere
Must perform well in a fast pace environment
Good oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with trainees, drivers and other team members in person and on the telephone.
Must be team-oriented
Must have good organizational skills
Must be able to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Must be able to work a flexible schedule when needed to including weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

Four year college degree from an accredited college or university (highly preferred)
