App Tester - Senior (22686)

About The Position

Ren X Tech is seeking a tester to join a small test team supporting multiple software applications in various stages of deployment. This role requires knowledge of modern automated testing methodologies and technologies. The individual will perform manual testing when automated solutions are not practical or desirable. As the technology stack evolves, testers may collaborate with developers on performance/load testing to assess application capabilities.

Requirements

Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must have an Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph
Experience with SQL queries for data validation (Oracle, Postgres, MySQL)
Expert in Selenium WebDriver
Emphasis on writing automated code in Java
Must be able to use an IDE to code (e.g., IntelliJ, Eclipse, NetBeans)
Experience with interacting in a Linux environment (e.g., Bash scripting, vi)
Expertise in writing test plans, cases, procedures, scripts, and scenarios
Demonstrated history with manual and automated test processes
Ability to work well in a constantly evolving work environment
Solid hands-on experience testing with tools such as JMeter and/or Selenium.

Development skills, as automated testing involves writing code.

Responsibilities

Perform manual testing when automated solutions are not practical or desirable.
Work with application developers to support performance/load testing.
Evaluate developer assignments and independently understand requirements.
Engineer tests to evaluate best-path scenarios and probe for possible failure conditions.
Write test plans, cases, procedures, scripts, and scenarios.
Conduct and report testing using a repeatable process based on industry best practices.
Maintain and update the test environment.
Ensure the QA and testing approach references all known vulnerabilities and best practices.
