The Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) position at Fullerton Regional Veterinary Hospital involves providing high-quality veterinary care and support in a full-service hospital environment. Responsibilities

• Effective communication with clients
• Input medical records
• Run in-house laboratory blood analyzers
• Perform phlebotomy and IV/urinary catheterization
• Conduct cystocentesis
• Take radiographs
• Perform bandaging
• Assist DVM in exams and treatments
• Assist in surgery and monitor anesthesia
• Perform dental procedures and extractions
• Monitor and recover patients after surgery
• Maintain and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment
• Clean and disinfect cages, kennels, and exam rooms
• Provide emergency first aid to sick or injured animals
• Administer medications and/or immunizations
• Perform laboratory tests
• Feed patients and monitor food and water intake
• Collect samples (i.e. blood, urine, or tissue)
• Train and oversee assistants

Requirements

• Valid Veterinary Technician Certification license
• Minimum of two years' experience as an RVT
• Experience with dentistry and extractions
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
