About the position

The RV Resort Manager at Sun Communities, Inc. is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of an RV resort, ensuring high levels of guest satisfaction and operational profitability. This role combines management, sales, and customer service skills to create a welcoming environment for both short-term and long-term residents. The manager will handle administrative tasks, marketing, property maintenance, and human resource management, while also being the primary point of contact for guests and residents.

Responsibilities

  • Responds to guest and resident inquiries
  • Serves as the direct point of contact for Sun's customers/residents
  • Works with the marketing team to increase reservations and occupancy
  • Ensures customers/residents receive a high level of service
  • Handles and resolves guest and resident complaints
  • Coordinates team member selection, training, and development
  • Works with Regional Vice President to address operational issues
  • Enforces resort rules and standards
  • Monitors monthly operating budgets and prepares monthly P&L variance explanations
  • Assists RVP with preparation of annual operating budget
  • Ensures compliance with fair housing laws and resort operations
  • Markets park models and prepares documents for home sales
  • Oversees capital expenditure improvements

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 2 years property management/resort experience
  • 2 years of supervisory experience
  • Previous sales and leasing experience preferred
  • General knowledge of property maintenance
  • Solid negotiation skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Working knowledge of basic accounting principles
  • Thorough knowledge of fair housing and employment laws
  • Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience using Yardi and/or RMS preferred
  • Flexibility to respond to resort needs during non-business hours
  • Ability to live on-site within the resort
