About the position

The RV PDI Service Technician is responsible for performing inspections, diagnosing issues, and conducting repairs on travel trailers and fifth wheels. This role involves regular maintenance of appliances and internal components, as well as customer interactions to explain the functionality of the units. The technician will receive training to become certified and is expected to maintain a high level of efficiency in their work.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular inspections on unit inventory and diagnose any issues that need adjustment, repair, or part replacement.
• Use a checklist to test the functionality of all interior and exterior components of the unit.
• Examine and report a written diagnosis of the complaint, cause, and correction of each issue discovered within a Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI).
• Adjust, install, or replace any necessary parts to properly repair the unit.
• Explain and demonstrate the use and function of the camper through a customer walkthrough.
• Perform regular maintenance, including washing the roof and body of the camper.
• Answer questions and provide guidance for current technicians.
• Make relationships with current vendors and warranty representatives in technical roles.
• Complete Master Technician Level 4 training certification provided by RV Technical Institute RVTI.
• Sign a Non-Complete agreement.
• Maintain an average collectible efficiency of 70% or more.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED certificate.
• Experience with car mechanics, plumbing, and electrical work required.
• RV experience preferred.
• Proficient with industrial tools and equipment.
