About the position
The RRP Maintenance Superintendent is responsible for overseeing the maintenance operations within the plant, ensuring that all procedures, personnel, and resources are effectively aligned to meet established goals related to quality, efficiency, and safety. This role involves providing technical support and guidance to the maintenance team, promoting optimal plant performance, and ensuring that maintenance mechanics utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for work orders and preventive maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Manage the maintenance, repair, and improvement of physical systems and equipment within assigned areas.
- Oversee staffing, development, and performance management of maintenance mechanics.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with environmental metrics.
- Manage safety programs to protect people, premises, and property, ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Comply with HR and safety policies, including verifying Kronos and Fusion activity and overseeing disciplinary actions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant Maintenance field desired, or equivalent experience.
- 5-7+ years of demonstrated maintenance management experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Successful track record managing 7-10 mechanics, including boiler mechanics.
- Technical degree/training and/or relevant certifications in General Maintenance, Electrical, or related fields.
Nice-to-haves
- Previous rendering experience preferred.
- Experience in industrial manufacturing management required if no rendering experience.
