About the position

The Roving Area Manager at Premier Housing Management LLC is responsible for overseeing the operations of various housing communities, ensuring they are fiscally sound, well-maintained, and socially healthy. This role involves providing leadership and guidance to property staff, meeting profitability and occupancy requirements, and ensuring compliance with Fair Housing Laws and HUD regulations. The position requires a strong focus on financial performance, staff training, and effective property management.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the operation of housing communities to ensure fiscal soundness and social health.
  • Meet profitability and occupancy requirements for the property portfolio.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting and maintain positive relations with state agencies and contractors.
  • Monitor compliance with Fair Housing Laws and HUD regulations.
  • Provide direction on staffing and employee issues, consulting with Human Resources as needed.
  • Hire, train, and mentor property managers in all operational aspects.
  • Maintain budgetary control and review financial and occupancy reports.
  • Coordinate with property managers to develop effective marketing plans for occupancy.
  • Assess the physical condition of properties and recommend capital needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent five years' experience in property management, business, or real estate.
  • Experience in property management and leasing, with a minimum of 3 years preferred.
  • Proficient in YARDI and EZ Labor software.
  • Solid verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Analytical capability to present and interpret data effectively.
  • Experience in supervising and mentoring staff.
  • Knowledge of government subsidy programs and Fair Housing regulations.
