About the position

The Route Sales Representative at Red Wing Shoe Company is responsible for promoting and supporting the brand image through professional selling and building long-lasting customer relationships. This role involves conducting mobile sales operations, maintaining the mobile unit, and ensuring a high level of customer service by guiding customers through the Ultimate Fit Experience (UFX).

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine maintenance schedules for the mobile unit through an approved maintenance facility.
  • Perform and maintain daily logbooks, travel tracking, and mobile unit inspections as per Department of Transportation and Red Wing SOP.
  • Prepare, load, and unload stock for the mobile unit and warehouse for daily business.
  • Maintain proficiency with product knowledge and operating standards through continuous learning.
  • Adhere to all mobile operations as defined in each SOP.
  • Manage mobile operating expenses including inventory, cash, truck maintenance, and travel.
  • Guide customers through RWSC's Ultimate Fit Experience.
  • Provide accessory recommendations and educate customers on their benefits.
  • Handle special orders placed during the day's truck run.
  • Collaborate with the industrial team regarding planning and execution of truck runs.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience required.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience/training.
  • Strong enthusiasm and motivation to provide high-level customer service.
  • Strategic thinking, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Team-oriented with collaboration skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Computer proficiency.

Nice-to-haves

  • Footwear selling experience from a mobile unit.
  • Retail footwear and/or wholesale experience.
  • Naturally curious with a passion for new ideas and driving growth.
