About The Position

Step into a key leadership role as a Rope Access Industrial Services (RAIS) Planner, supporting major operations at the LNG site in Kitimat, BC! In this role, you’ll drive the planning, coordination, and execution of high-impact rope access projects, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule. We’re looking for a skilled planner with strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, proven scheduling experience, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints. Requirements

  • Journeyperson Pipefitting or Electrician Certification Required - with strong understanding of trade standards and codes.
  • IRATA Certification required.
  • 3-5+ years of industrial rope access mechanical and electrical experience.
  • Hands-on experience in heavy industrial settings (plants, refineries, power, or similar).
  • Previous planning/scheduling experience in an industrial environment.
  • Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills, including P&IDs, isometrics, GA drawings, weld maps, and spool sheets.
  • Knowledge of welding procedures, QA/QC standards, WPS/PQRs, NDE requirements, material traceability, and documentation control.
  • Working knowledge of ASME, API, and/or CSA piping and pressure welding codes as applied to fieldwork.
  • Experience using Maximo, Primavera, MS Project, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and other Microsoft programs.
  • Strong coordination and communication skills to liaise effectively with supervision, crews, inspectors, and clients.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and take initiative during project events.

Responsibilities

  • Build comprehensive work packs, scopes, and job plans, including estimating hours, manpower, and materials.
  • Interpret blueprints, ISO drawings, P&IDs, isometrics, GA drawings, weld maps, and spool sheets accurately.
  • Apply knowledge of welding procedures, QA/QC requirements, WPS/PQRs, NDE requirements, material traceability, and documentation control.
  • Ensure compliance with ASME, API, and CSA piping and pressure welding codes relevant to fieldwork.
  • Coordinate with supervision, crews, inspectors, and client representatives to sequence work, resolve field issues, and remove constraints.
  • Take on GF responsibilities as required, specifically during turnaround (TA) events.
  • Collaborate in a team setting to create execution plans and all associated preparation documents.
  • Demonstrate flexibility to work outside of scheduled rotations to support major projects and TA events.
  • Utilize systems such as Maximo, Primavera, MS Project, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and other Microsoft programs to build, manage, and track work orders and schedules.
