About the position
The position involves assisting in managing the operations of the rooms area departments, including Front Office, Engineering/Maintenance, and Housekeeping. The role focuses on improving guest and employee satisfaction while maximizing financial performance. The candidate will lead a team, ensure compliance with standards, and contribute to achieving property goals.
Responsibilities
- Assist in managing the execution of all operations in the rooms area departments.
- Create and nurture a property environment that emphasizes motivation and teamwork.
- Understand employee and guest satisfaction results and develop plans to address needs and strengths.
- Lead by example, demonstrating self-confidence and enthusiasm.
- Assist employees in understanding and exceeding guests' needs and expectations.
- Follow property-specific recovery plans and publish guest satisfaction results.
- Communicate and update all goals and results with employees.
- Meet semiannually with staff on a one-to-one basis.
- Assist/teach the team in scheduling against guest and room goals.
- Perform hourly job functions as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED with 4 years of experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related area.
- OR a 2-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major with 2 years of experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related area.
