About the position

The Rooms Division Manager at Mammoth Mountain Inn is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the hotel, including the Front Desk, Housekeeping, Maintenance, and Property Management. This role also assumes the responsibilities of the General Manager in their absence, focusing on achieving financial targets, ensuring employee satisfaction, and maintaining high standards of guest service.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the hotel.
• Assume responsibilities of the General Manager when unavailable.
• Achieve financial targets and maintain high guest service standards.
• Ensure employee satisfaction and performance across departments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field, preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in hotel/resort management, with at least three (3) years in a leadership role within the rooms division.
• Strong knowledge of front office, housekeeping, and reservations operations.
• California Association of Community Managers (CACM) Certifications, preferred.
• Proficient Spanish speaking is strongly preferred.
• Proven track record in the hospitality industry and direct guest service organizations.
• Strong working knowledge of business software with emphasis on MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visual One.
• Professional demeanor, attitude, and appearance.
• Strong work ethic.
• Flexible with work schedules, working on weekends and holidays.
• Ability to effectively communicate with guests, employees, and management.
• Ability to perform under pressure and with deadlines.
• Ability to solve problems using good judgment and doing what is best for the customer, while adhering to hotel policy.
• Demonstrates strong leadership skills.
