This position involves responding promptly to guest requests and those from other departments. The attendant will prepare and transport supply carts, enter guest rooms following established procedures, and ensure rooms are clean and well-stocked. Responsibilities include replacing amenities, linens, and terry, making beds, cleaning bathrooms, removing trash and room service items, and checking the condition of in-room appliances. The role also requires maintaining the cleanliness of guest rooms and hallways through dusting, polishing, and vacuuming. Adherence to company policies, safety procedures, and security protocols is essential, including reporting any maintenance issues, hazards, accidents, or injuries. The attendant must complete safety training and certifications and properly handle flammable materials. Professional appearance and conduct are expected, along with maintaining confidentiality. The role requires interacting positively with guests, anticipating their needs, assisting individuals with disabilities, and expressing genuine appreciation. Effective communication and teamwork are necessary to achieve common goals and uphold quality standards. Physical requirements include the ability to lift and move objects up to 25 pounds independently and over 25 pounds with assistance, push and pull a loaded housekeeping cart, reach, bend, twist, and perform floor care duties. Extended periods of standing, sitting, kneeling, or walking are expected, along with fine motor skills for manipulating objects.
