About the position

The Room Attendant at South Coast Winery Resort and Spa is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in guest rooms and common areas, ensuring a welcoming environment for guests. This part-time position involves various housekeeping duties, including cleaning, replenishing supplies, and responding to guest needs in a courteous manner.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all areas of the hotel are properly cleaned and ready for guests' arrival.
• Anticipate and assess guests' needs and respond in a courteous and professional manner.
• Vacuum and sweep carpets and floors.
• Mop floors as needed.
• Dust, brush, polish, and vacuum furniture.
• Dust and clean room decorations, appliances, and structural surfaces.
• Change linen and make beds.
• Clean showers, tubs, sinks, and bathroom items.
• Remove used guest amenities and trash.
• Replenish guest amenities and supplies.
• Inspect rooms for safety hazards and report issues to maintenance.
• Check for damaged linen and report to the supervisor.
• Report lost and found articles, maintenance problems, or special room issues to the housekeeping supervisor or manager.
• Maintain storage rooms and stocking carts properly.
• Record room status on work assignment sheet.
• Provide information to guests about hotel services, facilities, and local attractions.

Requirements

• Previous housekeeping experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good communication skills to interact with guests and staff.

Nice-to-haves
