Responsibilities

• Build roof trusses for Clayton Home Building Facilities.
• Read a cut sheet and blueprint to build trusses that meet the approved standards regulated by the NTA.
• Check parts on assigned table/press to ensure proper set up of jig, cord, parts, and nails according to individual truss blueprint.
• Ensure proper nail placement, overhang and king post on every unit produced.
• Meet production requirements in a timely manner while ensuring the quality of each truss.
• Repeatedly lift over 50 pounds.
• Operate a hydraulic press.
• Work well with a partner.
• Demonstrate honesty and integrity, have a strong work ethic, display a great attitude and model teamwork.
• Report directly to Truss Team Leader and Truss Department Area Coordinator.

Requirements

• Ability to read cut sheets and blueprints.
• Ability to meet production requirements.
• Ability to repeatedly lift over 50 pounds.
• Ability to operate a hydraulic press.
• Strong work ethic and teamwork skills.
