About the position

The Road Sales Associate position at Bobcat of South Shore involves developing and growing a customer base focused on maximizing the sale and rental of new and pre-owned Bobcat equipment, attachments, and services within Bristol County, MA. The role emphasizes customer satisfaction, relationship building, and achieving sales goals while providing on-site expertise and support.

Responsibilities

  • Maximize the sale and rental of Bobcat new and pre-owned equipment, attachments, and accessories within the assigned territory of Bristol County.
  • Create, develop, and maintain customer relationships and brand loyalty to increase market share.
  • Quote and negotiate prices and credit terms, working with customers on financing and payment options, preparing contracts, and closing orders.
  • Meet or exceed individual and company sales goals for units sold and gross profit.
  • Provide solutions to customers relating to their equipment needs.
  • Provide on-site expertise for demonstrations, machine inspections, and technical support.
  • Maintain an industry contact database for the designated territory.
  • Generate new customers through frequent calls and opportunity visits.
  • Transport equipment, stage, and load equipment for delivery to customers.

Requirements

  • 2 - 3 years' experience in sales, preferably in equipment, construction, or a related industry.
  • Must be competent or able to learn to operate all products and models of equipment sold by Bobcat.
  • Proven track record of excellent prospecting, presentation, and closing skills.
  • Must have a 3/4 ton pickup truck; generous truck allowance provided.
  • Must be able to travel with personal 3/4 ton pickup truck in the territory of Bristol County, MA.
  • Computer skills required including proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
  • Solid knowledge of sales policies, programs, procedures, products, and customer relations.
  • Must be 21 years old, have a current driver's license in good standing, a clean driving record, and solid work history.
  • Must be able to pass DOT drug test, criminal background screening, and DOT physical and obtain a medical card.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and self-motivated.

  • Experience in the equipment rental industry.
  • Familiarity with Bobcat products and services.
