About the position

The RN Wound Care Nurse at Nyack Ridge Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is responsible for providing specialized wound care to residents in a subacute rehab and long-term care setting. This role involves performing daily rounds to assess and treat wounds, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and delivering compassionate care under the direction of the Director of Nursing (DON).

Responsibilities

• Perform daily rounds of wound care treatment for residents.
• Assess wounds, drainage, and pressure injuries.
• Provide resident care and services in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Collaborate with the nursing team to ensure high-quality care for residents.

Requirements

• Current RN license to work in NY State.
• 2 years of experience in a Long-Term Care environment (preferred).
• 2 years of experience handling wound care matters.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Compassionate and caring demeanor.
