About the position
The Registered Nurse (RN) Weekend Nights Internal Agency Float Pool position at Baptist Health Floyd is a part-time role focused on providing comprehensive nursing care across various inpatient units during weekend shifts. The role requires experienced nurses to deliver intermediate level care, ensuring patient needs are met from admission to discharge. This position offers premium pay for weekend shifts and is designed for nurses who are adaptable and skilled in acute care settings.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct comprehensive nursing care for patients from admission to discharge.
- Deliver intermediate level of care to patients in various inpatient units based on staffing needs.
- Work every weekend and receive premium pay for WOW shifts.
- Collaborate with supervisors and house managers to allocate staff to units with the greatest need.
Requirements
- Current Indiana or compact state RN license.
- BLS for Healthcare provider certification required upon hire.
- ACLS for Healthcare provider certification required upon hire.
- NIHSS certification required upon hire.
- PALS for Healthcare provider certification required (to be obtained within 1 year of hire).
- Minimum of two (2) years previous nursing experience required.
- Experience in intermediate level of care preferred.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in Critical Care and Emergency Department settings.
