About the position
The Registered Nurse in the Internal Agency Nursing Pool at Baptist Health Floyd is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients from admission to discharge. This part-time position requires working weekends and offers premium pay for WOW shifts. The nurse will float between various inpatient units based on staffing needs and must possess a minimum of two years of recent acute care nursing experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct comprehensive nursing care for patients from admission to discharge.
- Float between various inpatient units as needed based on staffing requirements.
- Ensure intermediate level of care is provided to patients in various units.
- Collaborate with supervisors and house managers to address staffing needs.
- Maintain competency in PCU and Neuro care, with critical care and emergency department experience being a plus.
Requirements
- Current Indiana or compact state RN license.
- BLS for Healthcare provider certification required upon hire.
- ACLS for Healthcare provider certification required upon hire.
- NIHSS certification required upon hire.
- PALS for Healthcare provider certification required (to be obtained within 1 year of hire).
- Minimum of two years previous nursing experience in an acute care setting required.
Nice-to-haves
- Previous experience in intermediate level of care preferred.
