About The Position

The Staff Registered Nurse (RN) at John Muir Health is a licensed professional caregiver responsible for planning, delegating, and coordinating nursing care for a group of patients. This role emphasizes evidence-based practices and interdisciplinary collaboration to create a compassionate healing environment. The RN will utilize the John Muir Medical Center Standards of Care and the California Nurse Practice Act to provide high-quality patient care while fostering professional growth and satisfaction within the nursing culture.

Requirements

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• 6 months of nursing experience in Medical Acute Care.
• 1 year of nursing experience in Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) or Critical Care.
• Current RN license from the California Board of Nursing.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• ACLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• PALS certification from the American Heart Association (within 30 days of hire/transfer).
• Must pass Approved Cardiac Rhythm Test at time of hire (if hired after 11/15/2018).

Nice To Haves

• Clinical Specialty Certification preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to effectively motivate teams.
