About the position
UofL Hospital, a 404-bed academic teaching and research hospital located in downtown Louisville, is seeking Registered Nurses to provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols. The hospital is known for its exceptional cancer center, trauma team, and stroke center, and is the only adult Level I Trauma Center in the region, including the only dedicated burn center in Kentucky. We offer various shift options including 7a-7p or 7p-7a, with full-time, part-time, and weekends only available.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients
- Adhere to established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization
Requirements
- Active Kentucky registered nurse license or compact license with privileges to work in Kentucky
- Associate degree in nursing from an accredited college or university
- Basic Life Support (BLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Participation in the nurse residency program for new graduate RNs
- New-hire Associate degree registered nurses must start an approved BSN program within one year of hire and complete it within three years
Nice-to-haves
- Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university
- One year of patient care experience in specialty area
