About The Position
Pawtucket Falls is seeking an experienced and motivated RN Unit Manager to join our skilled nursing facility team. The RN Unit Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily clinical operations of the assigned unit, ensuring high-quality resident care, regulatory compliance, and staff supervision in accordance with facility policies and state and federal regulations.
Requirements
- Active Rhode Island Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Knowledge of state and federal nursing home regulations
- Ability to work collaboratively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams
Nice To Haves
- Previous long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred
- Prior supervisory or management experience strongly preferred
Responsibilities
- Supervise and support nursing staff on the assigned unit
- Ensure quality resident care and timely completion of assessments and documentation
- Monitor compliance with state, federal, and facility regulations
- Coordinate resident care plans with interdisciplinary teams
- Conduct rounds and address resident/family concerns promptly
- Assist with admissions, discharges, and care coordination
- Participate in performance improvement and infection control initiatives
- Provide staff education, coaching, and disciplinary action when necessary
- Ensure proper medication administration and treatment procedures
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow-up
