About The Position
Seeking an experienced RN Unit Manager for a Long Term Care setting to oversee daily unit operations, coordinate resident care, and lead nursing staff. The role involves clinical leadership, staff supervision, and ensuring high-quality resident outcomes in compliance with regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Active RN License required
- Strong leadership, communication, and clinical assessment skills required
- Ability to manage staff and coordinate resident care effectively
Nice To Haves
- Long Term Care or Skilled Nursing experience preferred
- Previous leadership or Unit Manager experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of the nursing unit and oversee resident care delivery
- Coordinate and update individualized care plans for residents
- Supervise, schedule, and support nursing staff and CNAs
- Conduct resident assessments and monitor changes in condition
- Ensure accurate documentation, charting, and medication administration
- Collaborate with physicians, therapy teams, families, and interdisciplinary staff
- Monitor compliance with state, federal, and facility regulations
- Address resident/family concerns and support quality improvement initiatives
- Participate in staff training, performance evaluations, and clinical guidance
- Assist with admissions, transfers, discharges, and care coordination
