About the position

The RN Unit Manager at Laurel Brook Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is responsible for overseeing nursing staff and ensuring high-quality care for residents and patients. This role emphasizes personal advancement, skill development, and employee appreciation within a supportive team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee nursing staff and manage daily operations of the unit.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
  • Develop and implement care plans for residents.
  • Supervise and mentor nursing staff, providing guidance and support.
  • Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an RN in New Jersey.
  • Nursing degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
  • Five (5) or more years of nursing experience required.
  • Two (2) or more years of experience as a supervisor in Long-term Care and Subacute healthcare facility.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a rehabilitation or nursing facility.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
