About the position

The Registered Nurse (RN) position at Bismarck Medical Center involves providing individualized nursing care to patients through the nursing process, which includes assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The role requires collaboration with inter-professional colleagues to ensure comprehensive patient care across various phases of health maintenance and treatment. The RN will be responsible for patient assessment, education, triage, and coordination of care, adhering to the standards of nursing practice as outlined by the Nurse Practice Act.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize the nursing process to provide individualized nursing care to patients.
  • Collaborate with inter-professional colleagues, including physicians, to plan and evaluate care.
  • Demonstrate competency in nursing practices within the full scope of nursing expertise.
  • Care for patients in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.
  • Plan and coordinate patient care, including assessment and education.
  • Perform triage and various other nursing interventions.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program required.
  • Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing.
  • At least one year of nursing experience required.
  • At least six months of travel experience required.
  • Live at least 60 miles from the location applied for.
