About the position
The Telemetry RN position at AMN Healthcare involves caring for patients with a variety of conditions, particularly those recovering from heart issues or cardiac surgery. The role requires constant monitoring of patients' vital signs and cardiac activity using specialized equipment. Responsibilities
- Care for patients with a wide range of conditions, focusing on those recovering from heart conditions or cardiac surgery.
- Monitor patients' blood pressure, heart rate, blood oxygen level, and cardiac electrical activity.
- Utilize specialized equipment for telemetry monitoring.
- Perform peritoneal dialysis and titrate Cardizem as needed.
- Document patient care using computerized charting.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse with a valid license in hand.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in telemetry nursing.
- Certifications required: BLS and CERT-NIH Stroke Scale (copies needed).
- Ability to interpret telemetry readings and perform IV insertion and PICC lines.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with computerized charting systems.
- Familiarity with various healthcare technologies and electronic health record systems.
