About the position

The Registered Nurse Supervisor at Lakeview Behavioral Health is responsible for overseeing the daily nursing operations of the facility, ensuring that high-quality, compassionate care is provided to patients. This role involves managing staffing levels, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and maintaining compliance with healthcare standards while prioritizing patient safety and satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary treatment teams to meet residents' needs and resolve complaints.
  • Enforce and interpret policies for patient care delivery.
  • Ensure proper staffing ratios and coverage for patient care needs.
  • Complete chart checks and maintain accurate nursing assessments and logs.
  • Conduct rounds at the beginning of shifts and perform random audits.
  • Assist the Director of Nursing (DON) in staff orientation and competency evaluations.
  • Ensure facility compliance with professional and regulatory standards.
  • Model customer service expectations and prioritize patient safety.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient care processes and outcomes.
  • Coordinate care rendered to patients, including physician orders and consultations.
  • Document medical and nursing care accurately.
  • Administer medications and maintain records according to policies.
  • Update and revise care plans as needed based on patient conditions.
  • Prioritize tasks and delegate responsibilities to staff.
  • Lead admissions and discharges, informing physicians of patient condition changes.
  • Utilize administrator-on-call for additional support when necessary.
  • Provide direct patient care as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing required.
  • Three or more years' experience in nursing practice required.
  • One or more years' experience in med/surg nursing preferred.
  • One or more years' experience in a behavioral health setting preferred.
  • One or more years' experience in a supervisory or charge position preferred.
  • Current RN license as required by state.
  • CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire).
  • First aid certification may be required based on state or facility.
