About The Position

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking an RN - Stepdown - Cardio-Pulmonary for an exciting Travel or Local job in Cincinnati, OH. This is an 8-week contract with a high possibility of extension or permanent placement. The position is for the Night Shift, working 3x12s for 36 hours per week, with every other weekend required.

Requirements

NIH Stroke Scale certification required as part of unit competency
Night shift availability required
Diploma in Nursing from an accredited nursing program
Active Ohio RN License or Compact RN License
BLS Certification (American Heart Association)
ACLS Certification (American Heart Association)

Nice To Haves

Experience in cardiac stepdown, telemetry, or progressive care preferred
Experience caring for cardiac, pulmonary, renal, endocrine, and stroke patients preferred
Experience with cardiac monitoring and non-invasive ventilation preferred
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Responsibilities

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for stepdown patients
Monitor and manage patients with acute MI, cardiac arrhythmias, CHF, cardiomyopathy, and chest pain diagnoses
Provide care for long-term ventilator-dependent patients
Administer infusion therapies, blood transfusions, injections, and central line care
Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
Utilize Bi-PAP, C-PAP, and A-PAP equipment as needed
Perform accurate clinical documentation and maintain compliance with nursing standards
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
Support stroke care initiatives as part of the dedicated stroke unit team
