About the position

The RN Residency program at Piedmont Columbus is a comprehensive 12-month transition-to-practice initiative designed for new graduate nurses. It combines precepted orientation and blended learning to enhance clinical judgment, communication skills, and professional commitment in various specializations. Participants will receive mentorship and support to ensure effective nursing care and professional growth.

Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care.
  • Maintain standards of practice and coordinate patient care activities of all assigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care.
  • Demonstrate professional growth and accountability within the framework of the organization's policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a nursing program.
  • Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse.
  • BLS certification required.
  • New Graduates of a nursing program eligible.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable.
