About the position
The position is for a Traveler RN specializing in Medical, Surgical, and Telemetry nursing, specifically for night shifts in New Jersey. This role involves providing high-quality patient care in various healthcare settings while enjoying the benefits of travel nursing, including the opportunity to explore New Jersey's diverse regions and attractions.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in medical, surgical, and telemetry units.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions and vital signs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families about health conditions and post-discharge care.
Requirements
- Current RN license in New Jersey or eligibility for licensure.
- Experience in medical, surgical, and telemetry nursing.
- Ability to work night shifts and adapt to different healthcare environments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Nice-to-haves
- BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Previous travel nursing experience.
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR).
