About the position
The Registered Nurse - Emergency Department (RN) position involves providing high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced emergency department setting. This role requires working weekends and nights, totaling 36 hours per week, and is ideal for those who thrive in dynamic environments and are passionate about emergency care.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the emergency department.
- Assess and triage patients based on their medical needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Monitor patient progress and respond to changes in condition.
- Educate patients and families about health conditions and treatment plans.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts.
- Experience in an emergency department or critical care setting preferred.
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
Nice-to-haves
- BLS and ACLS certification.
- Previous travel nursing experience.
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
