About the position
The Registered Nurse (RN) in Cardiac Telemetry at Williamson Medical Center is responsible for coordinating, implementing, and planning nursing care for patients in a telemetry unit. This PRN night position requires a commitment to providing compassionate care and ensuring the well-being of patients through comprehensive assessments and individualized care plans.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive assessments on all patients upon admission.
- Plan individualized patient care based on identified needs and nursing diagnoses.
- Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner.
- Administer medications and solutions safely according to hospital policies.
- Reassess patient conditions and modify care plans as necessary.
- Accept charge responsibilities and assign staff based on patient needs.
- Maintain a therapeutic environment for patients and families.
- Facilitate staff development and maintain professional standards.
Requirements
- Earned a nursing diploma or degree from a college or university.
- Licensed in the State of Tennessee.
- BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
- Basic arrhythmia certification within 6 months of hire for telemetry unit.
- ACLS certification within 6 months of hire for telemetry unit.
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certification within 6 months of hire for float pool and critical care.
- AACN, CCRN or CCP certification within two years of hire for critical care.
- ONS chemo/immunotherapy certification within one year of hire for Oncology unit.
- At least one year of emergency experience preferred for Adult Emergency Room.
- PALS certification within 6 months of hire for Pediatric units.
