About the position
The Registered Nurse (RN) in Labor & Delivery at Williamson Health is responsible for providing high-quality obstetric, neonatal, and gynecologic nursing care. Responsibilities
- Provide quality obstetric, neonatal, and gynecologic nursing care.
- Incorporate emotional support and education into patient care.
- Perform comprehensive assessments on all patients upon admission.
- Plan individualized patient care based on identified needs and nursing diagnoses.
- Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner.
- Administer medications and solutions safely according to hospital policies.
- Reassess patient conditions and modify care plans as necessary.
- Accept charge responsibilities and facilitate staff development.
- Maintain a healing and therapeutic environment for patients and families.
Requirements
- Licensed by the State of Tennessee.
- Earned a nursing diploma or degree from a college or university.
- BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
- At least one year of perinatal experience preferred.
- Certified Lactation Consultant preferred.
- NRP certification within six months of hire.
- ACLS certification or agreement to obtain within six months of hire.
- Level I, Level II, and fetal monitoring certifications within one year of hire.
