About the position

The Registered Nurse position at UCHealth Anschutz Inpatient Pavilion is a PRN role focused on providing high-quality patient care in women's and infants' health. The role emphasizes a multidisciplinary team approach, evidence-based practice, and the nursing process to achieve exceptional patient outcomes. The nurse will work in various direct care units, including Mother/Baby, Labor and Delivery, and NICU, while contributing to safety and quality at the point of care.

Responsibilities

• Provide top of scope practice in direct patient care utilizing the nursing process.
• Value a multidisciplinary team approach to achieve exceptional outcomes.
• Prioritize wellness, a patient perspective, and evidence-based practice.
• Model proficiency through precepting those new to healthcare and/or UCHealth.
• Contribute to secure safety and quality at the point of care.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years' experience.
• State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• 6 months of Women and Infants nursing (RN) experience or completion of the UCHealth Fellowship program.
• NRP within 6 months of hire.
• BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with AWHONN's and AACN's practice standards and certifications including RNC-OB, C-EFM, NRP and CCRN.
