About the position

The position is responsible for coordinating activities to achieve and maintain Magnet Recognition and Pathways to Excellence status at Providence St. Peter Hospital. This role involves leading initiatives that foster a culture of professional nursing practice and excellence in clinical outcomes, under the guidance of the Chief Nursing Officer and in collaboration with nursing leaders.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate activities to attain and maintain ANCC Magnet Recognition and Pathways to Excellence status.
  • Lead initiatives to promote a culture of professional nursing practice.
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative nursing leaders to enhance clinical outcomes.
  • Develop and implement educational programming for nursing staff.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of nursing practices and programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • Washington Registered Nurse License upon hire
  • 5 years of experience in acute care nursing.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's Degree in Nursing or related field
  • Experience in a Magnet®-designated facility
  • Previous success in obtaining Magnet® designation
  • Success in securing extramural funding for research
  • Primary authorship of peer-reviewed publications
  • Experience in project management.
