RN Per Diem Peds ED

About the position

Saint Peter's is the 5th hospital worldwide to earn Magnet status SIX times in a row. Our team of award-winning nurses is growing, and we are looking for talented, compassionate RNs to join our team. The RN Per Diem Peds ED will be a positive contributor to our collaborative nursing team, utilize excellent assessment skills to determine the health status of assigned patients as outlined in the Nursing Standards, ensure all procedures are performed based on established Standards of Care, administer medications and parenteral therapies in accordance with policy, and meticulously document all aspects of patient care.

Responsibilities

• Be a positive contributor to our collaborative nursing team
• Utilize excellent assessment skills to determine the health status of assigned patients as outlined in the Nursing Standards
• Ensure all procedures are performed based on established Standards of Care
• Administer medications and parenteral therapies in accordance with policy
• Meticulously document all aspects of patient care

Requirements

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey
• One (1) year of experience preferred
• BSN preferred
• BLS certification required, as approved by the American Heart Association
• ACLS certification obtained during clinical orientation
• PALS certification obtained during clinical orientation
• ECG course completed during clinical orientation
• ENPC (Emergency Nurse Pediatrics course) completed during clinical orientation
• Procedural Sedation course completed obtained during clinical orientation
