About The Position
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking an RN - Pediatric ICU for an exciting Travel or Local job in Hackensack, NJ. This is a contract position for 13 weeks with a high possibility of extension or permanent placement. The role involves working the Night Shift from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a schedule of 3x12s, totaling 36 hours per week.
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) required
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required
- Active New Jersey RN License or Multi-State Compact License required
- BLS Certification (AHA) required
- PALS Certification required
- Telemetry Certification required
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Responsibilities
- Evaluate pediatric patients and assist physicians with patient care planning and implementation
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and provide therapeutic nursing interventions
- Document patient care accurately according to hospital standards and clinical priorities
- Manage care for critically ill pediatric patients in PICU settings
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Advocate for evidence-based nursing practices and patient safety initiatives
- Float as required within Pediatrics, NICU, and Pediatric ER Holding units
- Maintain effective communication with patients’ families and healthcare teams
