About The Position

We are seeking an experienced RN – Pediatric Emergency Department to provide specialized emergency nursing care to pediatric patients in a high-acuity trauma setting. The RN will be responsible for rapid assessment, triage, emergency interventions, and coordination with interdisciplinary teams in a fast-paced Level 1 or Level 2 trauma environment.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent Pediatric ED experience required
• Formal pediatric triage training required
• Strong pediatric emergency and critical care skills required
• Experience in Level 1 or Level 2 trauma environment required
• Majority of experience must be in Pediatric ED (adult ED only experience not accepted)
• Active New York State RN License required
• BLS Certification required
• TNCC or TCRN Certification required

Nice To Haves

• BSN preferred
• Additional pediatric/trauma certifications preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide direct emergency nursing care to pediatric patients in the Emergency Department
• Perform rapid triage assessments and prioritize patient care based on acuity
• Monitor and respond to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications, treatments, and emergency interventions
• Collaborate with physicians, trauma teams, and healthcare staff
• Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC EMR
• Educate patients and families regarding emergency care and treatment plans
• Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and hospital policies
• Deliver high-quality emergency care with minimal supervision
