About the position
The Emergency Room RN at Catholic Health is responsible for providing compassionate care to patients in emergency situations. This role involves triage, assessment, diagnosis, planning, and evaluation of care for emergent cases, working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Triage, assess, diagnose, plan, and evaluate care for emergent cases.
- Treat patients for critical care cases and rapid response codes.
- Partner with an interdisciplinary team including attending physicians, registered nurses, and ancillary staff.
- Advocate for and build meaningful relationships with patients and their loved ones through safety intervention, emotional support, and education.
Requirements
- Licensed and currently registered as a professional nurse in New York State.
- Associates in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing required.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- BLS required for all RN's.
- ACLS required for PACU, ED, S Unit, and all critical care areas.
- PALS required for ED and PACU.
Nice-to-haves
- Emergency Room experience preferred.
- Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred.
