About The Position

This role involves providing clinical education and training to nursing staff, developing and implementing educational programs, and supporting the orientation of new hires. The Nurse Educator will promote evidence-based practices, patient safety, and collaborate with leadership to enhance clinical performance and patient outcomes. Responsibilities also include assisting with staff development, continuing education, compliance training, and evaluating nursing competencies.

Requirements

Minimum two (2) years of Med/Surg experience required
Minimum two (2) years of Perioperative (Periop) background required
Strong clinical nursing background required
Excellent communication, teaching, and leadership skills
Ability to support nursing competency development and performance improvement initiatives
Strong understanding of perioperative nursing standards and clinical workflows
Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) from an accredited Nursing Program required
Master’s Degree in Education required
Active New York State RN License required
Primary Source Verification of RN License and Registration from NYSED required
AHA BLS Certification required

Nice To Haves

Experience in nursing education, staff training, or clinical instruction preferred
