About the position
The RN Nurse Educator for the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) is responsible for providing education and training to nursing staff in a clinical setting. This role requires a solid clinical background in pediatrics and medical-surgical nursing, along with the ability to develop and implement educational programs that enhance nursing practice and improve patient care outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Provide education and training to nursing staff in the PICU.
- Develop and implement educational programs for nursing staff.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs and make necessary adjustments.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to identify educational needs.
- Stay current with best practices in pediatric nursing and education.
Requirements
- 2 years of PICU experience.
- 2 years of medical-surgical nursing experience.
- 2 years of experience as a nurse educator.
- New York State RN License with Primary Source Verification.
- AHA BLS Certification.
