About the position
The Registered Nurse (Hospital-Based) at Jewish Hospital, 6 West, is responsible for delivering nursing care to patients of varying age groups by utilizing the nursing process and nursing practice standards. This position is situated in a 20-bed medical-surgical acute care unit specializing in post-operative care of patients undergoing general, urological, colorectal, and bariatric surgery. The Registered Nurse provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization.
Responsibilities
- Deliver nursing care to patients of varying age groups
- Utilize the nursing process and nursing practice standards
- Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols
Requirements
- Licensed or eligible for license in Kentucky
- Basic Life Support (BLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required for some units
- Associate's degree from accredited college or University
