Responsibilities
- Deliver nursing care to patients of varying age groups by utilizing the nursing process and nursing practice standards.
- Intervene to achieve safe, optimal patient and family centered care health outcomes using Nursing Practice Competencies.
- Coordinate patient care and communicate with the care team using Leadership Competencies.
- Develop professionally as a life-long learner using Professional Profile Competencies.
- Evaluate care based on evidence, the UofL Health quality model, and patient safety goals using Practice Outcomes Competencies.
- Demonstrate competency caring for complex patients and participate on the care team to improve the quality of care in the clinical area.
Requirements
- Licensed or eligible for license in Kentucky
- Basic Life Support (BLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required for some units
- Associate's degree from accredited college or University
