This is a full-time Day RN position with variable weekends and holidays, working 36 hours per week. The role involves engaging in unit councils, professional governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes and apply evidence-based practices. The RN will utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care, engaging patients and families throughout the continuum of care. Key responsibilities include monitoring patient conditions, adjusting care plans, mobilizing resources, collaborating with the care team, and upholding a culture of safety. The position may involve administering medications, treatments, and therapies, demonstrating effective communication, and pursuing professional development. Adherence to ethical practices, appropriate delegation, and accurate EHR documentation are essential. The role may require floating to other units or facilities to meet patient care needs and requires the ability to provide age-appropriate care.
