About The Position
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking an RN Manager – Surgery for an exciting Travel or Local job in Portsmouth, NH. This is a Full-Time, Permanent position with day shifts and no weekends required. The compensation ranges from $47.30/hr to $65.20/hr, based on experience and qualifications. The role involves overseeing daily OR operations, supporting patient care initiatives, staff development, and departmental planning. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and organizational skills, with a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or a related field preferred.
Requirements
- Active New Hampshire RN License required
- 1–3 years OR nursing experience required
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills required
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or related field preferred
- Leadership or OR Charge Nurse experience strongly preferred
- Strong OR Charge Nurses also considered
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily OR operations including scheduling and patient flow
- Support patient rounding and patient satisfaction initiatives
- Collaborate with clinical coordinators and educators on staff competency development
- Assist with admission and discharge coordination
- Hire, train, mentor, and evaluate staff members
- Conduct performance evaluations and implement improvement plans
- Provide counseling and disciplinary actions when necessary
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards
- Support budgeting and departmental operational planning
- Evaluate patient outcomes and drive quality improvement initiatives
- Maintain clinical expertise within Surgical Services
