About The Position
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking an RN Manager – Surgery for an exciting Travel or Local job in Portsmouth, NH. This is a Full-Time/Direct Hire position with day shifts and no weekends. The pay range is $47.30 – $65.20/hr, based on years of experience. The role involves managing day-to-day OR operations, supervising staff, ensuring patient satisfaction, and collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to support quality patient care.
Requirements
- Active NH RN License
- 1–3 years of RN Operating Room experience
- Leadership experience within Surgical Services
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or related field preferred
- Strong RN Operating Room Charge Nurses with leadership potential will also be considered
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day OR operations including scheduling, staffing, and patient flow
- Supervise Clinical Coordinators and support departmental growth initiatives
- Conduct patient rounding and ensure excellent patient satisfaction outcomes
- Assist with staff competency development and educational initiatives
- Participate in admission and discharge coordination processes
- Interview, hire, train, and mentor staff members
- Conduct employee evaluations and implement performance improvement plans
- Counsel staff and manage disciplinary actions when necessary
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, nursing standards, and regulatory requirements
- Monitor and evaluate patient outcomes and quality metrics
- Assist the Surgical Services Director with budgeting and operational planning
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to support quality patient care
